Enterprise delivery is a collaborative approach to the execution of large-scale projects and programmes, typically with the goal of creating or renewing physical assets.
The enterprise approach offers an alternative to the transactional model of delivery, with the intent of saving cost, time and waste. This is achieved by uniting stakeholders in a single entity – the enterprise – to establish long-term relationships that enable the sharing of innovation, knowledge, best practice and experience.
Although applicable to many disciplines, enterprise delivery is especially suited to infrastructure centric sectors with large, diverse, physically diffuse asset bases: road, rail, water and power. Octavius is the electrification and plant partner in the UK’s first enterprise delivery programme for railway renewals.
Project 13
Under the Project 13 banner the Infrastructure Client Group has developed an enterprise delivery framework championed by the Institution of Civil Engineers and National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority – among others.
Octavius understands what is needed to create and sustain a successful enterprise delivery entity and, in line with its commitment to collaborative work, has pulled together these resources to help inform other’s enterprise delivery and Project 13 journeys.
